Israeli Head Of Space Security Claims Earth Is Collaborating With A Galactic Federation

The former head of Israel’s Space Security Program, Haim Eshed, has either just spilled the biggest secret in world history, or is deeply delusional. Eshed allegedly claims a Galactic Federation has been in touch with the governments of the United States and Israel but asked for its existence to be kept secret.

Eshed is a former general who spent 29 years as head of Israel’s space security program, while also a professor at the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology. Consequently, he’s more likely to be in on any space secrets than someone raving about aliens on Youtube. Nevertheless, the response to Eshed’s claim is a mix of skepticism and satire.

Eshed made his claims in an interview with Yedioth Aharonoth, Israel’s largest circulation for-pay newspaper, reports the Jewish Press.

“There’s an agreement between the US government and the aliens. They signed a contract with us to do experiments here. They, too, are researching and trying to understand the whole fabric of the universe, and they want us as helpers,” Eshed told Yedioth.

This contact isn’t just from worlds beyond the Solar System, Eshed added. “There’s an underground base in the depths of Mars, where their representatives are, and also our American astronauts.”

The idea of humans making it to Mars without anyone noticing was the most unlikely part of the story so far, but then Eshed really dialed up the hard-to-believe meter. According to Eshed, Donald Trump was about to reveal all, before the aliens told him, “’Wait, let people calm down first,’ adding “They don’t want to start mass hysteria.”

Leaving aside the question of why Eshed hasn’t been silenced the same way, the idea that anyone, even aliens, would be able to stop Trump tweeting about anything is just not credible. That goes double for the biggest news story in human history, which he would likely find a way to claim credit for.

Eshed added: “If I had come up with what I’m saying today five years ago, I would have been hospitalized. Wherever I’ve gone with this in academia, they’ve said: the man has lost his mind. Today they’re already talking differently. I have nothing to lose. I’ve received my degrees and awards, I am respected in universities abroad, where the trend is also changing.”

Jokes aside, Eshed’s claims really fail on the sheer number of people who would have to be keeping this quiet. Eshed retired in 2010, and presumably lost access to top-secret information, so the whole thing would have to have been kept under wraps for at least a decade.

Aside from government officials and the astronauts Eshed says are on Mars, if the claims were true there would be numerous scientists picking up the signals, verifying the Federation’s existence, and cooperating with aliens on research. Yet instead of any of these coming forward with actual evidence, we’re expected to rely on the word of someone who, despite an impressive career as an engineer in charge of space security, can’t even give us a selfie with an alien ambassador.

Eshed has a book out soon, so this could all be a shameless publicity stunt. That’s much more likely than aliens deciding 2020 was the perfect year to announce their arrival and “take us to your leader” meant a president coming to the end of his term of office.

One of the people who may have seeded the idea in Eshed’s head is intrigued, though.
